I wrote The House Cleaning Pro and published it in June 2005. I had started working on the Internet and just out of curiosity looked into what was available in eBook format for starting a house cleaning business. Obviously I was not impressed or I would not have decided to write my own book.
There is so much mis-information not only on the Internet, but also in the books sold in your local book store on building and running a house cleaning business. I decided to research this further and actually purchased the top sellers on the Internet and spent many hours at the large book outlets. What I found is that most of the information is being written by business professionals (on setting up a business) and people in the janitorial business (and they don’t know about residential cleaning!).
If you already know how to clean professionally and just need to know how to setup the business, then most of these publications will work for you. On the other hand, if you really want to know the specifics of a professional house cleaning business, then you’re in the right place.
I built my house cleaning business after having my house professionally cleaned over 12 years. I already had a background in business and built my cleaning business based on what I knew customers wanted and needed. I eventually sold the business to get married and move back to California.
The House Cleaning Success System is a private member site I built in 2006 just for residential cleaners. There are three levels of membership that are based on the type of cleaning business you are building and the type of information you need.
